About Amanda Lynn
Amanda Lynn has known that she wants to be a singer/songwriter since before she can remember. The little girl who made up silly songs with her daddy and turned her grandma’s living room into a stage has grown up and made good on her resolution to turn music into a living. The steady climb of her debut single, “Buck Wild,” on the Billboard Airplay Charts confirms the leap of faith she made when, at her husband Justin’s urging, she quit her day job to devote herself full-time to her music. Her music addresses the life of a small-town girl growing into the responsibility and independence of adulthood. “Buck Wild” has been described as “an upbeat, fun-loving country song,” and “a tribute to the wild, rebellious teenage years,” but Amanda Lynn shows her capacity to pluck the listener’s heartstrings in wistful ballads like “Heart of Stone” and “Every Now and Then,” which are included with “Buck Wild” on her debut album, “Made in Dixie.” The title track is a hymn to the Southern lifestyle—to “trophy bucks and jacked-up trucks,” as the lyrics put it.
