About Art On Friday

Art On Friday was started when a group of musicians (after working hard all week at our regular, every day jobs) would get together each Friday evening -- which typically carried through the entire weekend -- to create music and hold "jam sessions"......Thus, the name "Art on Friday".

Art on Friday was formed in 2002 by Chris "Toc" Jones and Angelynn (Angie) McCain. Due to our love of live instrumentation and various types of music, we started writing and composing songs that combined our individual and unique styles. Over the years, we have developed numerous songs that represent the various styles of Rock, Pop Rock, R&B, Funk, Soul and Jazz. As songwriters, our goal is to provide our original material to those artists, producers, independent filmmakers, record labels, etc. who may be interested.

ABOUT TOC:

Toc has been playing various instruments since he was 11 years old. He started his musical career by playing the drums in the band with his older brothers. Over the years he became a singer and multi-instrumentalist (playing keyboards, bass, guitar and drums). Later Toc began producing music, engineering via Pro Tools and is presently pursuing Pro Tools certification.

ABOUT ANGIE:

Angie originally began her interest in the "Arts" as an artist/painter. As a child, she also took piano lessons. It was not until she was 13 years old that she began singing (as many of us did) in the church. Over the years (and it has been many), she has worked with various songwriters and bands. In 2002, once joining forces with Toc, she also began songwriting and trying to learn to play the drums (which she is still trying to master).
