About Atheriel

Atheriel is a singer-songwriter and pianist from Johannesburg. Influenced at an early age by songs like “The Phantom of the Opera” and Queen’s “Princes of the Universe”, Atheriel’s music is a fusion of moody lyrics, dark piano ballads and heavy metal.

Writing poetry since she can remember, Atheriel never imagined that those poems would soon turn into emotive pieces of music. By the time she began recording in 2006 she had already written over 40 different songs. In 2008, Atheriel released her ‘Captured’ EP which includes 6 tracks.
