About Awaiting Eden

To start off this EP tells a story of a young mans "Journey Through This Night" the night symbolizes this characters life.First it begins with Viva La Love which is symbolic for the care free nature of childhood and innocence also the evening when the night is young and you have fun without much trouble to be had. The character becomes complacent until the day his father dies which brings us the the second song Northern Lights which is a sad song about all the troubles of the world and just wanting to go away and leave it all behind, this time correlates with midnight and the passing of the old day. Ultimately the character falls in love this is right after midnight after the innocence is shed. This brings us to My Heaven which is a love song which is short lived and replaced by the song Solo. Solo is a song that the character finally becomes angry with his life, love, and how everything has gone. This is when the "Darkness" begins to take root, this song happens around the time of two am. So he decides to take the world on my himself with no help from anyone thus bringing in Break Down this song brings the pentium and climax of the anger and angst in our character, this correlates with the time three am (the so called "witching hour") a time where the chaos rules. At this point the character believes that the world owes him something for taking everything he loved away. At this point the "Darkness" begins to set in and take hold even further. As this song ends the anger turns into depression and desire for hope because the character has failed in taking on the world on his own and doing thing his own way. Thus when the song progresses the " Darkness" is in full swing and isn't planning on letting go. In this song the character finally admits that he needs help from someone with more strength than he has. Finally he calls out to the "Breaking Light" to save him. This finishes the "Journey Through The Night" with the breaking of dawn, the beginning of light, and a new day has dawned brought by the "Breaking Light" this song is the redeeming moment of our character. I have not decided whether it should have lyrics or not because this song is powerful enough in the dynamics to get the point across that the night has ended the darkness was vanquished and brought to an end by the breaking light.
