About Circus 51
Amarillo band playing Texas Hard Rock. Formed by members of former local bands(3 Ring Circus, p51, Djiin). Road warriors to the end, they have grudged the trenches to feed their audiences appetite for Rock n Roll. New CD is now available for download at the Boost Independent Music Store and on all your favorite digital retailers such as i-Tunes, Rhapsody, Napster, Shockhound and at FYE.com. The CD is also available at Hastings stores in the Texas Panhandle and at several CD stores in Colorado like Twist and Shout and Be Independent stores. Currently, their first single"One to shed a tear", is in rotation on many, many different radio stations across the country and around the world. Circus 51 has been involved in several on air interviews with stations in New York, North Carolina, and California. Circus 51 started as a project to record music written and performed by members of local bands such as 3 Ring Circus, Djiin, and p51. After garnishing airplay on 50+ internet radio stations, they decided to get the CD distributed. This is when they caught the attention of Jeff Davis at The Rocky Mountain Music Group in Denver,Colorado. The band signed with the label in June of 2009 and the self titled CD, "CIRCUS 51", was released shortly thereafter. The sound has been compared to early Van Halen, Ratt, Judas Priest, Dokken, Boston, Ozzy, Wasp, and Poison. With searing guitar licks and a pounding rhythm, it is reminisent to the early days of metal with a touch of newer metal for good measure. The band is gearing up to tour early Fall. They are currently looking for bands who need a support act to tour with.
