They talk as though he's not there, the truth is that he doesn't care
It's hard to feel with all the booze and blow

He never talks about those times, he hides the pain between the lines

So let him sing and drink his jack, maybe soon he'll come back
With another song or two to hear
Remember what the stories tell, so you won't have to live his hell
