About Compatibles2

Compatibles2 is a 100% Digital One Man Band (OMB). Not only his music, also his physical appearance is truly digital. Being one of the 1st Internet Only Artists, Compatibles2 is a pioneer in the new era of digital existence on earth.

Musical Paintings and Soundscapes he does: New Age, Solo Synthesized Piano, Orchestral Pieces, Ambient Noises, Jazzy , Experimental, Sequences and Symphonic Stuff.

Why this name?

My job is in the ICT-industry. Compatible means something like "works well with". Besides he does hope his music will be Compatible to you TOO, the listener! So that makes a clear Compatibles2.

Do you play live?

Compatibles2 usually doesn't play live, but he used to do some gigs in the past. Maybe the future will change these things a lot due to public demand.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

A lot, it's obvious after all these years artistic freedom and general availablity of creatings is finally there! Now we should develop a way to have interactive live gigs for electronic artists, to perform in virtual worlds.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I will, but: Record Label still unsigned

Band History:

Born in '57 Starting playing the guitar at the age of 15, synth and computer aided instruments. Followed some courses to learn to play flute and guitar and some lessons Computer Aided Composing at the Institute of Sonology Utrecht - The Netherlands. Mainly self-made musician. Structure and sound are the building blocks of my small musical paintings. Compatibles2 was reborn as a 100% digital artist in the Virtual World of IMVU

Your influences?

Influences From Kraftwerk to YES, but also Steve Reich, Allan Holdsworth, Steve Vai, Horowitz, etc.

Sounds I Like: All Synth related

Voice I Like: no doubt that has been the amazing voice of Jon Anderson for over 30 years.
