About DJ NaI

Growing up watching music documentaries and listening to a wide variety of genres of music. DJ Nai has always been fascinated by all things music related. Whether it's rap, dubstep, screamo, rock, R&B, it really doesn't matter to him. All that matters is if the song has influenced him in some kind of way. Being fascinated by the making of beats, he picked up his first drum kit at the age of fifteen. His love of music continued when he started playing in a band called In This City. With most of the members going to college the band after two years broke up and ultimately went their separate ways. Being unhappy with his dead end job and being constantly bored at home he decided to reunite with the band once again under a new name and musical direction called With Avalon. After a short lived stint with the band, everyone because of various issues decided to go their separate ways once again. DJ Nai then decided to join the military and is currently in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He is also majoring in Criminal Justice at Argosy University. It seems like that should be enough to occupy a person but DJ Nai wanted to do something more. Armed with a whole lot of boredom, a laptop, and a IDJ3 midi controller he decided to pick up DJing because of the fact that everyone who he has played music with is currently too busy to make music. He began to take matters into his own hands and began making his own brand and style of DJ mixing using the Virtual DJ program. After countless nights learning the art he began posting his mixes and mashups online. With the constant positive feedback received by strangers and friends alike, he plans on continuing with his newly found love of DJing.
