Hi, my name Is Derrick Dramatic Waiters and I am a native of Lancaster S.C I have been Rapping since the age of 10 and been producing music for 14yrs. I have released three albums within the past 4 yrs which have been a huge success. Although my calling to the ministry was not too long ago I really feel like God has given me an awesome gift of song to bridge the gap, from the street corner to the alter. My inspiration comes from everyday trials and tribulations that I see, which always seems to find it’s way in my songs that I write. God has Anointed and appointed me to be a light in a dark place and to be a witness for his love, mercy and his incredible grace. From the age of five, I was found to have passionate interest in music. Upon experimenting with music, I was overjoyed to know that the humble words and music that I compiled were inspiring and motivating to others. I often heard people say that my music was great and that I should enter into the music arena. From there I began my music career in the R&B/Hip Hop genre. I had the opportunity to work with national recording artists K-CI and Jo- Jo, Devante Swing, Montell Jordan Gerald Levert, Calvin Richardson, John P Kee, Daryl Coley, Dewayne Woods, and a host of underground producers,singers and rappers. Suddenly I realized that my career was not soaring as I had anticipated, simply because my heart was not in that type of music. While still at work with my music, my life began to spin out of control which brought me closer to God. Not only did I began to lean on him, but I gave him everything from my life to my music, I became totally sold out to him. It was like I had a word in my heart that the world needed to hear, especially the youth. I recorded Street Ministry with one thing in mind, and that was to encourage others in their good times as well as their bad times, and let them know there is still hope as long as you believe and trust In the Lord. The project has touched so many lives world wide and for that I'm grateful.
