The Pop/Alternative CD on iTunes, titled "Comfortably Confused" showcases another side of her singing and writing skills and creativity capturing vulnerability, lush vocals and attractive melodies. One of the first Spanish Pop ballads she wrote gave birth to the newly released Bachata hit single "Sin Tu Amor" which she's been performing frequently demonstrating an impressive vocal performance in a male dominated style of music, where it is rare to hear a strong female interpretation passionately delivered. The song reminisces on bittersweet moments of the past, of a love not given the chance to grow. Highly talented, Gilda demonstrates strong cross over talent that is sure to sweep the Latin music scene. Upon the release of "Sin Tu Amor" it has been jumping numbers, racing up on the music charts in recent weeks. A live performance of the song is available for viewing on Youtube under Gilda Betancovet la fraga. Adding to her talent Gilda does jingles in Portuguese, Italian and Spanish as well as background vocal arrangements for her own songs and others. She's had the opportunity to work with the Basement Boys from Baltimore MD, who represented the singer Crystal Waters, and also with Cutfather and Joe in Copenhagen, the producers of the hit song "Return of the Mac". She also sang in the concert choir with Michael Bolton, Reba McKintire and Celine Dion. Her talent has taken her to Europe, St. Thomas, Hawaii, Florida and around the US. The Soul Café and The Blue Note in N.Y. City were some of the venues she has showcased her original songs with her band and as a solo artist locally in Boston.
