About Hands Like Ours
Hands Like Ours are a 4-piece Melbourne outfit who epitomise the term lush indie rock. Their music is a maelstrom of chiming guitars and hook-laden melodies, tacit expressions and pop sensibilities.
Since their creation in early 2008, the boys have been playing all around their hometown of Melbourne, in venues including The Espy, Idgaff, Ruby's Lounge, Public Bar and the Arthouse. In November '08 they launched their debut EP to a packed house at the Idgaff. In March this year they peformed at the Basin Music Festival, where their song 'Webs' took out 'Best Local Song' in the 2009 festival. Plus this year they've received regular airplay on local community radio, including a live spot recently where they performed 2 songs live on air.
Having busily been writing new material in the last couple of months, the boys are in the process of putting a new album together for release in second half of 2009.
