About Killing Caparosa

Killing Caparosa is triple-pieced, triple-pronged and triple vocally infused indie rock band based out of North Bay, ON. The three members are inter-changeble on guitar, bass and drums and all share vocal duties. However, the most common line-up is Chris Curry on guitar and lead vocals, Aaron Seguin on drums and vocals and Jes Roy on bass and vocals.

What makes this band unique is the melding of so many different styles and musical tastes. Seguin comes from a largely punk-rock background, having fronted bands including Brutes Over Suites and 24 Sussex, and Curry has played in a variety of indie rock and acoustic bands in both Ottawa and North Bay. Jes is a grunger at heart who has an uncanny grasp of smooth vocals and seeping bass lines.

The band is currently putting the final touches on their debut EP, Debriefing, which will be released independently March 1st 2009 at the WKP Kennedy Gallery in North Bay, ON. It will be a double-release as Chris Curry will also be releasing his 12-song solo album 'The Art of Being.'

The band released the first single from the upcoming album on their MySpace page (www.myspace.com/killingcaparosa) and will be selling the upcoming album through their website and at shows.

Plans to tour are in the works with summer dates expected in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, London, Barrie, Sudbury and North Bay.
