About Mr NOBODY Jones

I started writing and composing music in 1970 in Vancouver, WA. I drove trucks, and done just about everything that they couldn't get their regular employees to do ("Rent-A-Bum; ie temporary help agencies). I traveled, via my thumb, busses,and trains, from one end of the country to the other and back again. Through these travels I had many "diverse experiences", which provided me with lots to write about. In New Orleans, for example, I unloaded many boxcars off the old Illinois Central in 1972 ie; "City Of New Orleans"
As far as my band's name is concerned, I was fortunate enough to have a number of Opryland musicians play on my domos, and that's why I referred to them as 'Friends'. The Mr. in Mr. Nobody Jones, was a play on words. I had always considered myself, pretty much, to be a nobody; and if you look in any phonebook, you'll find that 'Jones' is a very common name (After contemplating my business or stage name), I realized that I'm actually not that common of a person). On my label, Nobody's Records, and on my business cards, you'll see that the Mr. is underlined. That is not an option in filling out this description.
I moved to Nashville in 1990. Played writer's nights for about 3 yrs, and got a little burned out on it. It's not how good you are; it's who you're lucky enough to meet, and what kind of mood they're in. My music can be heard at NashvilleMusicPros.com also. Just type Mr. Nobody Jones into the search box. Hopefully I'll be uploading some of it here. While I know that I'm not a great singer or musican, I do know what I am, and that's a song writer. All my music is copyrighted and published through my own company, Nobody One Publishing BMI. I'm also a BMI Writer. If anyone wishes to cover my music, I'll be more than happy to collect the royalties. I'd just like to add, that I have a lot more music; I just don't have the finances to waste on studio time, so I can listen to my own music. I knew when I arrived here, at the age of 44, that I was probably too old to to get signed, and also, as an ex truck driver, living on a bus didn't have the slightest appeal.
