Stoning Mary is a real life Calgary band. For the past two years they have been introducing a musical style that leaves a lasting impression on any ear that hears it. Deep lyrics, presented with authority, weave between intricate songwriting. The innovative guitar work and melodic bass riffs make way to a soulful flurry of toms and cymbals, riding groovy back beats. Stoning Mary is a must see band for any music lover and new music enthusiast.

The group came together and began to define their sound in the small hamlet of Rosebud, Alberta. The small, budding arts community has served as the perfect place to pursue, develop, and perfect an ever growing compilation of Stoning Mary music. Drawing from a wide range of musical influences has created a new sound, free of classification in any one genre, and has attracted attention from audiences, regardless of individual music preference.

Stoning Mary consists of songwriter Angus Wilson, twin brother Bryan Wilson, and Marc Eshleman. The three are also big supporters and contributors in many fine arts outlets. Individually they have produced and/or starred in many theatre productions, toured with bands in Europe, played for sold out crowds in some of the best venues in Canada, recorded solo projects working with vetran Nashville producer Miles Wilkinson, even landed gigs touring with the great Buddy Guy and good friend Lindsay Ell.

These guys love to create and perform music, which becomes apparent every time Stoning Mary takes the stage. It is not uncommon to find yourself on the dance floor when at a show, or singing along to one of the many contagious hooks at the top of your lungs. The guys in Stoning Mary are on a journey to find the “good life” and will continue to follow their music until they get there.
