I am a Nigerian Singer/Songwriter born in the Uk,I am based in forest gate in east london .My musical education started in lagos nigeria where I first started singing,. Born in the UK. Moved to Nigeria at the age of 6, attended mayflower junior school, Molusi College, and Baptist academy. Started performing and recording in the UK in the early 1990’s.Tavian provided the vocals on the underground hit "we can ride the boogie"by Bubbles which was produced by steve mac and james anthony in the early 1990's.steve mac has gone on to produce the likes of leona lewis,westlife .and mariah carey to name a few. Was signed to polydor records as part of rock group “hysteria” and was the vocalist on their cover version of the hendrix classic "purple haze" which has gone on to become a collectors item. in the early 1990’s. Won sky star search on sky TV . Tavian has done backing vocals for the likes of the English actress /model “Twiggy” and Alisha Warren, sister of Mica Paris. And has also worked on cartoons for the BBC in the UK. Having worked with numerous producers like “yak bondy” who wrote maybe for “emma bunton” and kick Productions working on vocals for a cartoon series, Tavian decided to start work on his own album in 2005. Having met Jonathan Vears through a mutual friend, work started on the album. The video for the song "so cold" was shot in camber sands and Dungeness and was directed by bob brown, beautifully shot, it captures the mood of the song perfectly On the 29th of June 2006, one of Tavian’s compositions entitled “17 heartaches” was profiled on www.recordoftheday.com. This led to Tavian being contacted by concord artist international and he was subsequently offered an opening slot with Keisha white on her regional tour. tavian's debut album entitled "Get Ready" is now available on itunes. Tavian has now formed Not The Norm Music with Jonathan Vears and the emphasis is now on songwriting and music production.
