About The Urban Retropolitan Movement
The Urban Retropolitan Movement is brainchild of Neal Conway (formally of the Original Basement Boy Music). Neal Conway was the musically foundation behind a number of the Basement Boys early major label hits, such as: Crystal Waters (Gypsy Woman...She's Homeless, Makin; Happy), Ultra Nate; (Rejoicing, Scandal), Those Guys (Tonite) and a number of other hits for other artists.More recently,Neal was blessed with Platinum & a 2007 ASCAP Award for his contribution to rapper T.I.'s Hit single "Why You Wanna". The URM is a fusion of Neo-Soul, Lounge, Jazz, Disco and Spoken-Word. The URM represents artists from the Baltimore Metro area with a couple of artists from the Tri-State area. This project features: Robyn Romele, Dana Weaver, Marshall Booze, Monica Jefferson, Dre-Dog & Jasmin Pope & Neal Conway tries to actually sing. Now that's funny.
