Intro

Hatim M Hassanali , better known by his stage name Vmixx , grew up in the Coast of Mombasa , Kenya and is one of the youngest entertainers originating from East Africa at only 16 , Vmixx , growing up with big dreams of becoming a superstar and a very positive attitude in achieving it , is a very versatile entertainer not only involved in music production but is also involved in , comedy , photography , acting , disk jockeying , vocals , and also writing lyrics and poetry.

Entry into the music industry

He was first exposed to hip-hop and RnB music by many of his school friends at a young age and mostly grew up listening to artists like Akon , Kanye West , P-Diddy , Eminem , Mario and Usher . As he grew up , his musical library began to expand and dance music began to take over his musical taste , at the young age of only 7 ½ , he was exposed to producers like Basshunter , Dj Tiesto , Armin Van Buuren , and Roger Shah.. , Vmixx got inspired and wanted to do something similar yet 100% original as these artists. He first began by getting himself a copy of Virtual Dj and practiced all day and night trying to learn the ways of mixing and disk jockeying. After tedious trial and error, he finally had made progress and had some knowledge of what he was doing. He did not take this seriously , and called it messing around and screwing up songs , although , at the age of 8 he received his first keyboard and attended a short piano course to learn the basics , through that , Vmixx discovered his musical talent and at the age of 10 he got serious about it and worked on one of his very own original productions titled Extraction , which was then released as a single independently at the age of 11. Even thought the sound was horrible and was not heard by too many people , this was the beginning of the development of a musical phenomenon.

He then took some time off and took music up seriously and began writing songs and composed some of his very own rhythms , and once again at the age of 15 Vmixx announced his very own debut album titled Futuredive which is set to release on June 25th 2011. Now Vmixx aged 16 is currently working on his debut independent release album titled Futuredive , but has released a few singles , some which shall be featured on his album and some not. Vmixx , released a song in aid of the Pakistani floods and victims titled Paki-We-Stand , the song is featured on multiple websites on the internet and is gaining popularity. Vmixx has also worked with Upcoming Toronto vocalist going by the name of Blitz, and on a remix project with Toronto rapper Prospect , and is currently on a remix project with extremely talented Indian rap group SO.S ( Souls of Sinisters ). He has many more productions and collaborations in the pipeline and is looking forward to working with many more musicians and vocalists in the near future.

Now Vmixx spending most of his time balancing between high school and studio time has set out to take his music and high energetic dance tunes to the international electronic and dance music scene…. , Vmixx already at the young age of 16 has achieved what no teenage electronic music producer has achieved , placing himself in the spotlight internationally… , Yet this is just the beginning of Vmixx's long musical Journey.

Debut Album

Vmixx’s debut album includes a mix of Techno , Trance , Progressive , House , Dance , Lounge and Ambient music , alongside some pop and RnB too. Caring about the planet and its people

Vmixx is also aware of global issues and is trying his best to spread the message of love and peace, and is a growing leader in peace activism. He has been part of many charity/goodwill projects across Africa (Kenya , Tanzania , Uganda ) , and Asia ( Malaysia , Thailand , Burma – Myanmar ) , and is also in the process of starting off his very own organization named INITIATE INTERNATIONAL.
