Presenting "Lo-Boy" The hottest new group on the planet.Check out their latest singles from “The Re-Mix album. The 1st entitled "The road that never ends" An inspiring, personal new song about inner strength and hope.Along with the sensational new party anthem “Gimme 1 mo”. A “pop channel” dance/beat heavy, up tempo song with vocal that features keyboards and drum tracks more than guitars and live drums. While being very different songs, you’ll recognize that soulful signature voice of Lo-Boy. The continuity on the Re-Mix, along with the production is extremely solid. Clearly this is a really exciting, unpredictable & unique new musical concept. This very substantial, surprising & original group has one very outstanding characteristic you can’t ignore, “the recipe for longevity” in what’s become a “disposable industry”. The first of Lo-Boy’s two core members is Alvin (Abbey) Brazley. X-Geffen & Victor-Japan recording artist, with 2-Gold Records. Abbey has a powerful voice, is a successful singer-songwriter turned producer, and heads-up the Music Publishing & Carat Records. Lo-Boy’s amazing, classically trained, tall blonde keyboardist Karyn Lyn Sarring partners with Abbey, writing & performing. Karyn is a gifted pianist & vocalist, & instrumental in serving up the exciting layers of melody & rhythm. Lo-Boy has definitely got what it takes; a unique persona & a very entertaining live show, complete with guest dancers and singers, creating a sensational edgy & sweet mix. The 11 tracks on the album offer an irresistable peek outside the usual scope of things. Combining sweet melodies in your head, floating over some traditional & some new school rhythms that move your body. Don’t make a quick judgement & dismiss this as just another “wanna be” because there's really a lot that's surprising & original here. The melody and the lyrics are both clever & memorable. This “genre blurring” “crossover” music fits in many many radio formats, TV and film soundtracks. Bio
Singer-songwriter Alvin "Abbey" Brazley the only child of an African American steel worker from MS. & a southern IL. farm girl and pianist-singer Karyn Lyn Sarring, child of 2nd generation europen immigrants, partner as.. “Lo-Boy” a fun, high energy blend of pop, hip-hop, rock and soul. With a hot album "The Re-Mix" & a great live show, singing in the back seat of our parents cars and in church choir, was where it all started. The "wall of sound" Lo-Boy generates was born "armed with an Ampex 2 in. tape machine, Pro-tools, versatility & budding production skills, we had to learn to do everything ourselves." We had to re-invent ourselves! We never fit-in anywhere. We were always too this or not enough of that. Everyone's was always doing the same old thing". Abbey says!
"Finally music has truly become "crossover." Mixing many many great musical influences with today's sound & pop culture is catching on. We've waited all our lives for the world's music to grow together, like styles and cultures have in many ways. It's really amazing sharing so many differences and similarities. The record business is a very different animal now as it should be. TRL is the American Bandstand of 2007. Independents are everything now and just as influencial as when Ray Charles or the Beatles showed the world the future.
