About psychosis

PSYCHOSIS is horror-metal at it's darkest and this new release [The Heart of The Devil] marks the best production and darkest story of this band's 9 year history. Inspired by bands like King Diamond, Celtic Frost, Frank Zappa & Mike Patton you can expect a wide array of psychedelic metal experimentation where every day is Halloween. You will hear hints of thrash, prog-metal and doom...usually within a single song, and the experimental moments will leave you breathless and asking just how far the rabbit-hole goes while Psychosis answers, "All the way to Hell."

Psychosis was founded by Michael Griffey II and Rev. Roach at the turn of the millennium.

Heavily influenced by King Diamond, Iron Maiden, Frank Zappa and Jim Morrison, Griffey's vocal style is reminiscent of early 80's metal styles, and then twisted to the point of insanity. His lyrics then take you into the mind of a man who is in an emotional hell the likes of which have never been fully explored.

Psychosis is the embodiment of hallucinogenic experimentation, which is complemented by the air of darkness that a Psychosis event entails. Jeff Hill & Eli Flynn brought to fruition many of Griffey's complex ideas, most of which were nearly as old as Griffey himself... a blend of Doom, Thrash & Horror with a taste of complex leads, and an original vocal presence is the crux of what Psychosis is and will be in the future.
