About scratch vinyl

Scratch Vinyl are a rough and ready bar band in the tradition of The Hawkes (the Band) and the Rockets (crazy Horse). Live they play raw rough and ready improvised rock n roll. What started out as a bit of fun and the odd charity gig for a group of college lecturers has turned into something more.

Andy began been writing songs and recording demos on his PC at home. Many dark in theme, but with an uplifting quality across a range of musical styles. Apart from Lonely Night which is a full band performance, with overdubs by Andy all other songs feature just Steve on vocals and Andy on everything else.
