Shaharah has no clear memory of how her musical journey began yet remembers singing through every tear, smile, frustration and pain she can recollect and describes music as her “favorite form of expression”. With the inspiration of her father’s soulful voice and gospel influence, she began forming melodies and rhymes at the mere age of 5. As a pre-teen, Shaharah and her brothers kept their family and friends entertained with choreographed routines and showcases. She later joined a gospel choir enabling her to develop her raw talents and realize her dream. The star struck crooner took the local music scene by storm when she joined R&B trio JAI, writing their first hit single “Checkin Me Out” and has kept everyone on their toes since. She placed top twelve on Popstars third season, The One, and is the first in reality TV history to turn down the option to continue. Shaharah was ready to take her place.

Shaharah’s album is set for release in spring of 2008 and is coming with a serious vengeance. Audiences worldwide won’t know where she came from or what hit them.
