About Esosa

Esosa is an English born, Nigerian native who has been living in Ireland for 20 years. She has studied vocal techniques with Lorraine Byrne (Dublin), Norma Winstone (Jordanstown), Vicki Harrap (California). She was awarded a scholarship to attend the prestigious contemporary music university, Berklee College of Music, Boston after completing a workshop and performance programme at Berklee.
Esosa is a confident and competent performer having performed in numerous locations throughout Dublin and London including Whelans, John Field Room at the National Concert Hall and The Clore Studio in the Royal Opera House, London. Esosa has been privileged to work with a wide range of musicians. She has sung backing vocals on a Christy Moore track featured on his nephew, Conor Byrne’s CD. She has participated in composition workshops with well known Irish Jazz composer, Ronan Guilfoyle. Esosa is currently singing and occassionally writing for the Discovery Gospel Choir, Ireland’s foremost intercultural choir performing at numerous national events including the Festival of World Cultures, Africa Day, the Festival of Lights on O’Connell Street (alongside Kila) etc.
