Roslan Aziz was born Roslan Abdul Aziz Saad Ismail on the 23rd Oct 1961 in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.His father Abdul Aziz Saad Ismail who was a barber and mother Sharifah Aishah bte Syed Abdul Rahman Al-Attas a housewife live in Kampong Datok Keramat Kuala Lumpur. Roslan has five children namely Wan Nur Khaleda Aziz,Megat Abdul Majid Aziz,Megat Ali Aziz,Wan Aisha Aziz and Megat Zayn Hamza Aziz.

Roslan's talent was first discovered by his grandfather ABDUL MAJID ABDUL GHANI when he bought him his first drumset at the age of five.The prodigy was a regular member of his uncle's 'kugiran' ( band ) named THE DUKES and the band gained huge attention mainly because of his unprecedented talent. Roslan did his primary education at Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan Padang Tembak and was later sent to the prestigous MARA Junior Science College in Kuantan Pahang.He then pursued his actuarial studies in UNIVERSITY TEKNOLOGI MARA in SHAH ALAM ,SELANGOR. Roslan was already very actively involved in playing music forming a band with college mates called Mr Natural back in 1974 and continued playing music while schooling.

His enthusiasm and passion for music became more apparent when he immediately accepted an engineering job from the legendary BOOTY BOYS in 1982.The engineer/producer has recorded hundreds of albums : BLUES GANG AZLINA AZIZ LIZA AZIZ DATOK SHAKE SHEILA MAJID ADAM AHMAD BUBBLES FRANCESSCA PETERS MAZLAN HAMZAH D J DAVE NOOR KUMALASARI FAUZIAH AHMAD DAUD M NASIR ASIABEAT JOHN KAIZAN ELLA SEARCH WINGS MUKHLIS NOR SUDIRMAN HJ ARSHAD SHARIFAH AINI TAN SRI S M SALIM JAMAL ABDILLAH and later produced the ground- breaking Sheila Majid's album dimensi baru and emosi.He then formed Roslan Aziz Productions with longtime close friend Datuk Kamarudin Meranun in 1988 signing Zubir Ali as their first artiste in the R.A.P. label.

Among the numerous awards garnered by Roslan were Best Album award for the album Gamal from AIM in 1995,best album AIM awards ratu (1996) Best Album award for the album Emosi at BASF Awards, Indonesia in 1987 and in 2002 winning the Most Promising Producer at the Music Producers Awards in the United States.


Roslan Aziz was one of the judges in the Malaysian Idol season 1 ( 2004 ) and 2 ( 2005) .Roslan Aziz directed and produced the historical Siti Nurhaliza's concert at the Royal Albert hall in London on the 1st of April 2005 .And later was appointed the musical director for the phenomenal sell-out puteri gunung ledang the musical in feb 2006 and the second season in OCT 2006.He also produced Raja Atilia's debut album SANGKAR which was released in MAY 2007.He was appointed the most coveted post as "Principal" at Akademi Fantasia Season 5 which concluded in May 2007.He was the musical director for the 2nd season of the P Ramlee the musical in June 2008.

Roslan Released his first album in June2007; a soundtrack album from the movie Haru Biru.He will soon release a long anticipated album with his longtime collaborator mukhlis nor called 'aLi.
